* The Division of Academic Affairs and the Faculty Senate are hosting a series of workshops and webinars during the year for faculty and staff to learn more about Credit for Prior Learning and Competency-based Education. * Apple has implemented a new purchasing system. Learn how to place orders using Purchase Orders and P-Cards. Make sure your orders have the proper information to ensure timely delivery from both Apple and WSU's Shipping/Receiving Department. This training session will be held from 9-10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 5, in 124 Jabara Hall. To register for the class, log in to myWSU, select EmpHelp, (orange cube under the Weather) and myTraining. * The Wichita Medical Research and Education Foundation is pleased to announce a Collaborative Investigator Initiated Research funding opportunity of $15,000. The purpose of this research program is to provide investigators with short-term funding in the areas of social/behavioral, biological, genetic or environmental determinants of disease and/or health, either physical or mental, across the life span.
