* Complete the form at http://www.wichita.edu/submitinfo to report activities, research, accomplishments/awards, presentations, publications and upcoming events to Strategic Communications.

* Wichita State seeks to create a chapter for Phi Beta Kappa. We are currently compiling a list of all WSU faculty and staff who received the Phi Beta Kappa honor during their undergraduate program. If this applies to you, let Candice Weathers know at candice.weathers@wichita.edu by Friday, Aug. 29.

* The John A. See Innovation Award was established in December of 2013 by John A. See to support prototype development. A selection committee considers applications twice a year. Deadlines are Oct. 1 and Feb. 1. Awards will be announced at the fall and spring commencements as appropriate, with about $40,000 being awarded each year. The form is available at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3226 on the Academic Affairs website. For more information, go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3235

* The University Bookstore will host a patio sale from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Wednesday, Aug. 27) on the north patio of the RSC. Bring your Convocation agenda to receive 10 percent off your purchase at the patio sale.

* Hours of the RSC have been extended this fall to better serve the WSU campus. The building will be open from 7 a.m.-11 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays; 7 a.m.-midnight Fridays; 9 a.m.-midnight Saturdays; and 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Sundays. Hours will adjust for holidays and break periods. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3209 for more detailed information about Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes and the Bookstore.

* Remember to submit your campus events to Wichita State's online calendar. Early entry is crucial to campus planners, campus media and statewide print and broadcast media, all of whom need to know the time, date, place and cost of any individual event. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/calendarsubmit
