* The U.S. government is seeking comments on its new manufacturing initiative called the "National Network for Manufacturing Innovation" bringing industry, academia and federal and state agencies together to accelerate innovation. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3292 for more information.
* Wu's Big Event is Wichita State's first annual big event for community service on Friday and Saturday, Oct. 3-4. Join together and serve the Wichita community in a variety of different projects. Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends of the university are welcome to participate. More than 25 projects and agencies are represented. * The National Collegiate Inventors and Innovators Alliance (NCIIA) seeks proposals for its E-Team entrepreneurship program. The E-Team Program is an integrated program of funding, training, coaching and investment. E-Teams selected to participate in the E-Team Program will have the opportunity to secure up to $75,000 in funding, attend two required workshops and receive coaching from NCIIA. Deadline for the submission of proposals is Friday, Oct. 3. Contact the Office of Research and Technology Transfer at proposals@wichita.edu as soon as possible to indicate application interest.
