* The Office of Human Resources and the Office of Diversity and Inclusion invite you to Safe Zone LGBTQA Training from 3-5 p.m. today (Thursday, Sept. 25) in 245 RSC. The goal is to provide a welcoming environment for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning and ally persons, and where to go for help and more. Safe Zone establishes an identifiable network of supportive people who can provide support, information and a safe place for LGBTQA persons within the WSU campus community. * Join the ladies of Gamma Phi Beta at North Rock Lanes as they host the Bowl for Girls on the Run fundraiser from 7-9 p.m. Friday, Sept. 26. The price is $10 for unlimited bowling and $12 for unlimited bowling and food (bowling shoes included in price). This is in addition to the Crescent Classic Gamma PhiveK and 50 percent of the proceeds benefit Girls on the Run. Come enjoy unlimited bowling and food while supporting a great cause.
* Emerging Leaders is a unique opportunity for freshmen to get on the fast-track to student leadership, campus and community involvement. Each participant will be paired up with an upperclassman mentor with the same major. Students will have an opportunity to develop their leadership abilities through workshops, activities and reflection in order to prepare them for future leadership experiences at WSU and beyond.
