Want a chance to win $1,000 for yourself and a $1,000 donation to your favorite charity? Enter the new National Student Day Contest. It's easier than ever -- just share how you are a #NSDvolunteer.

Starting today (Thursday, Sept. 25) show us how you give back. Simply snap a picture of yourself volunteering on your campus or in your community. Then upload your picture to the National Student Day Facebook page, or post it to your Twitter, Facebook or Instagram account with the hashtag #NSDvolunteer to enter.

Your volunteer activity could be anything from working with your local Habitat for Humanity or food pantry to giving blood or picking up trash. Three random winners will receive a $1,000 prize and a $1,000 donation to a 501(c)(3) charity of their choice. The contest runs now until 4 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23. Snap your selfies now and share them.

Join in on the National Student Day festivities on campus Thursday, Oct. 9, in the RSC. Highlights include inflatables, Kansas City Chiefs Cheerleaders, music, and prizes. See you there.
