Construction to begin in Jardine Hall next week

Construction is anticipated to begin Monday, Sept. 29, on the fourth floor of Jardine Hall. It is being remodeled to accommodate the Office of Research and faculty and staff offices for Modern and Classical Languages and Literatures, as well as upgraded for accessibility and life safety features. Construction is anticipated to be completed in March 2015.

The Office of Research is currently housed in the NIAR building, and this relocation provides a more central location for the department. Construction fencing will be installed on the southeast corner and north side of the building. Please be advised that construction activities will at times block the north building exit and no public access will be available to the fourth floor beginning Monday, Sept. 29.

Construction vehicles may at times cause congestion on Isley Lane. The project was designed by Howard and Helmer Architects, and the general contractor is Dondlinger Construction.
