Champagne and Chocolate fundraiser for CSD

Break out the bomber jackets and flight suits. Communication Sciences and Disorders (CSD) supporters will fly high at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3, at the annual Champagne and Chocolate fundraiser. The event is sponsored by the Wichita Scottish Rite (WSR) for WSU's Evelyn Hendren Cassat Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic. One hundred percent of the proceeds benefit the clinic to help children with various types of communication disorders.

This year, the event is "Soaring to New Heights!," featuring an aviation theme and encouraging attendees to dress in aviator gear. Get out the goggles and long scarves for a great night out. Business attire is also appropriate.

Held at WSR's premier downtown location at 332 E. First St., it will be a night to remember with dinner, chocolate delicacies and drinks; including the ever popular live and silent auctions. Tickets are $50 single/$100 couple; and $20 of each ticket is tax deductible.

Call the Scottish Rite directly at 263-4218 to purchase tickets before Tuesday, Sept. 30. You can also visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/events/225436607660911/ for more details.
