Student artists are being sought for the Peace Pole Project. The submission deadline is 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 17. The Peace Pole Project is an international movement and would be the first permanent piece of original art created by students on campus. A Peace Pole is a sculpture, usually six to seven feet tall, with the phrase "May Peace Prevail on Earth," written on the pole in at least four languages. There will be a dedication ceremony in the spring and the artist must have the project completed by Feb. 27.
