* Paul Harding will be featured in the 2014-15 Writing Now Reading Now Series at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 9, in the Ulrich Museum. Paul Harding's novel "Tinkers," won the 2010 Pulitzer Prize in Fiction and the 2010 PEN/Robert W. Bingham Prize. His second novel "Enon," was published in 2013. He was a 2000-01 Fiction Fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown, Mass. His short stories have appeared in "Shakepainter" and "The Harvard Review."

* Counseling and Testing in collaboration with Student Involvement is offering "Mental Health First Aid." In the Mental Health First Aid course, you learn risk factors and warning signs for mental health and addiction concerns, strategies for how to help someone in both crisis and non-crisis situations and where to turn for help.
