KCEE receives funding from Office of the State Bank Commissioner

The Kansas Council for Economic Education (KCEE) recently received $70,000 in funding from the Office of the State Bank Commissioner. Portions of the funding will be used to sponsor the KCEE's LifeSmarts program and its annual Economics Poster Contest.

LifeSmarts teaches students about consumer skills relating to personal finance, technology, consumer rights and responsibilities, health and safety, and the environment. Each year more than 1,600 students participate and compete for state championships.

The KCEE is affiliated with the six public universities in Kansas and is hosted by the W. Frank Barton School of Business at Wichita State University.
