Lawrence home sales should rise by nearly 4 percent next year according to the 2015 Lawrence Housing Market Forecast published by the Wichita State University Center for Real Estate.

"After two years of remarkable growth, home sales activity in Lawrence has slowed this
year," said Stan Longhofer, director of the WSU Center for Real Estate. "We expect Lawrence area home sales to increase at a more modest pace next year, rising by 3.8 percent to 1,640 units."

Longhofer will present the forecast at a conference hosted by the Lawrence Board of Realtors at the Arterra Event Gallery at 2161 Quail Creek Drive in Lawrence at 8 a.m. Friday, Oct. 10. He will be available for interviews after his presentation at about 10:30 a.m.
