* Hey Shockers! Did you know there are over 1,200 refugees living here in Wichita? Reaching Out to Refugees is a student group on campus that is helping the International Refugee Committee in Wichita. There are opportunities to get involved this semester, including a coat drive sponsored by In The Bag Cleaners from Oct. 15-31, and a benefit night on Friday, Nov. 21. * The WSU Symphony Orchestra will provide live musical accompaniment for a screening of the Charlie Chaplin silent comedy "The Vagabond," at 7:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Oct. 16) in Miller Concert Hall. Admission is free for WSU students with ID.

* The Student Wellness Action Team is planning the Big Pink Volleyball Tournament -- a fundraiser for breast cancer research and awareness -- from 2-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, in the Heskett Center Gym. * Register your team for the Shocktoberfest 3v3 Basketball Tournament. There will be three divisions: men's, women's and coed. If you are interested, the form is in the Shocktoberfest 2014 packet at http://www.wichita.edu/sac. Registration ends Friday, Oct. 17, and forms are due to 216 RSC by 5 p.m. Groups will also need to complete an online registration through Campus Recreation by Tuesday, Oct. 21.
* A 5K Zombie Invasion Run will be held at 1 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 19, at the corner of 119th and West Kellogg at Mel Hambelton Ford. A $10 discount is offered for WSU students who enter the code WSU1 at http://www.zombieinvasionrun.com. Make your way through a grueling 5K filled with mud, obstacles and zombies. All proceeds will benefit Saint Francis Community Services purchase of Christmas gifts for foster children.
