* The last day to get the special $15 student entry fee for the Oct. 25 Pumpkin Run is Friday, Oct. 24. The fee will be $35 on race day. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/pumpkinrun to sign up today.
* Need to relax and unwind on Fridays after a long week of work or school? Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in the RSC has the perfect solution. TGIF Live is a new, monthly music series designed to do just that. From 5:30-7:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes will host bluegrass duo Robin Roberts and Billie Preston. Stop by and check it out.
* The WSU volleyball team will host Loyola at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, and Bradley at 7 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, in Charles Koch Arena. Students with a WSU ID can get in free starting one hour before home matches.
* Shocktoberfest event: Participate in Hip Hop Karaoke and rock the mic from 10-11 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, in the Shocker Hall Multipurpose Room. We have the beats, lyrics, a DJ and even a hype man.

* While supplies last, Student Health Services will provide free flu shots to all currently enrolled WSU students. Flu shots will be available on a walk-in basis (no appointment needed) at Student Health in 209 Ahlberg Hall. Hours are from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. Mondays through Thursdays and 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Fridays. * People of all ages are invited to participate in group or private swimming lessons for adults, children and parents and tots together at the Heskett Center Oct. 27-Nov. 22. For information, pricing or to schedule a lesson, contact Campus Recreation, Guest Services Desk at 978-3082.
* Each year, students design a T-shirt that encompasses Shocker pride, and students, faculty and staff have the opportunity to vote one time on their favorite among the top three designs. Vote between now and 5 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24, at http://www.wichita.edu/sac to help decide the next T-shirt that will be sold in the University Bookstore.
