Faculty Artist Series Concert by Emily Sternfeld-Dunn
Sternfeld-Dunn will perform with Amanda Pfenninger on piano. They will present two song cycles composed by contemporary American composers.
The first half will feature the work, "Eve-Song," by Jake Heggie, text by Philip Littell, which tells the well known biblical story of Eve from a modern, feminist point of view.
The second half of the concert will feature the cycle, "Too Few the Mornings Be," by Ricky Ian Gordon, who set 11 poems by Emily Dickinson. On this work, Sternfeld-Dunn will be joined by dancers from the School of Performing Arts, who have been choreographed by WSU Faculty Sabrina Vasquez and WSU student Jennie Hughes.
