Basketball season has arrived -- and that means new parking rules for Shocker Hall residents and visitors who have become accustomed to parking in open lots on the main campus after 6 p.m. and on weekends.

For WSU men's basketball games, a number of lots in the vicinity of Koch Arena will be reserved for basketball parking. On those occasions, signage will be in place the day before the game alerting drivers of the impending lot assignment changes.

There are still a number of open lots available for after-hours parking, however. The open lots closest to Shocker Hall are lots 16S (this lot may be reserved for concurrent Fine Arts events), UM, 11, 10, 15, 14 and the eastern halves of lots 5 and 5N. The WSU Shuttle System's Metropolitan Complex Route will also be an option on weekday game nights with service to satellite parking lots and extended hours for games that start at 8 p.m. For campus parking and shuttle information, visit the Shocker Parking website at http://www.wichita.edu/parking
