* The fall Anthropology Colloquium series will feature a presentation by graduate student Abigail Rich called "The Fate of the World" at 5 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 6) in 117 Neff Hall.

* Wichita State will host a talk about the power of fiction in forging and sustaining a democracy by No. 1 New York Times best-selling author Azar Nafisi at 6 p.m. today (Thursday, Nov. 6) at the CAC Theater. The event is sponsored by Watermark Books. Students also will have an opportunity to hear Nafisi at 9:30 a.m. Friday, Nov. 7, in the lower level of Ablah Library. * The Honors College invites faculty to propose HNRS general education seminars for fall 2015 and spring 2016. Faculty across campus are encouraged to use HNRS courses to experiment with course design and content and to pose interdisciplinary questions. Pre-session courses or eight-week courses are particularly welcome.
