* The Office of Transitions and Orientation is collaborating with Housing and Residence Life, Student Involvement, Student Money Management and Diversity and Inclusion to host new students to the Shocker Season Starter. Join us in the Shocker Hall courtyard for a basketball tailgate party at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, for free food, giveaways to the first 200 people and tons of fun to kick off the Shocker basketball season.
* Visit the fall 2014 Education Career Fair from 2:30-4:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, at Hughes Metropolitan Complex, Room 180. * Undergraduate students are encouraged to apply to present their research to legislators in the Capitol Rotunda in Topeka, on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. The deadline for applications is Tuesday, Jan. 20, but earlier submissions will be given priority consideration. Student expenses will be paid by WSU, including the cost of printing the poster, transportation to and from the event and lunch at the event. * The Association of Hindu Students in America (AHINSA) is hosting Gurunanak Jayanti, an event full of food and fun, from 6-9 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 15, at 2160 N. Oliver. The event is free.
* "Global Awareness Student Project (GASP)" is holding its third general meeting of the school year at 1 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14, in 100 Lindquist Hall. We will discuss what volunteering opportunities and events we plan to do this month and in December.
