'Around the World at Noon' set for Nov. 18

The WSU International Student Union will host "Around the World at Noon" from 10:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 18. ISU is still looking for more participants to sign up for the event. Find out how you can participate.

"Around the World at Noon" is the event where international students coming from diverse backgrounds showcase their countries/cultures by putting colorful and attractive displays in the first floor of the RSC.

To make this event possible, we invite individuals or groups who are interested in showcasing their country's culture to the WSU community. Each participant country/organization will decorate a table with anything that is unique to their country.

Country tables should be informative, interesting, well designed and visually exciting. Cultural activities such as Henna tattoos, face painting or anything that is a traditional activity in your country is also welcome. Games and other interactive activities are highly encouraged.

This event is not only for international students. American students are also encouraged to represent their student organizations as well.

International Student Union is going to award a trophy for the best table at the end of International Education Week. The trophy will be given at the event "All the World on Stage" on Friday, Nov. 21, in the CAC Theater.

To sign up, go to the International Student Union website, and submit your application online at http://webs.wichita.edu/?u=isu&p=/ISU_ATWAN

All the participants are also required to attend an orientation. One was held last week and the next one is from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 13.
