Lake Afton Public Observatory (LAPO) and the Kansas Astronomical Observers (KAO) will host a telescope fair from 7:30-10 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22, at LAPO. Members of KAO will have many types of telescopes available to view, and they will be available to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of each type. This will be an excellent opportunity for anyone considering buying a telescope (possibly as a holiday gift) to talk to the experts and to see a variety of types of telescopes in the same place at the same time.
Lake Afton Public Observatory is operated by the Fairmount Center for Science and Mathematics Education, a part of the Fairmount College of Liberal Arts and Science at Wichita State University.
