Spanish placement exam

If you want to take a Spanish language course at WSU in spring 2015 and you haven't taken a Spanish course here before, you need to take a placement exam to meet the course prerequisite. The Spanish placement exam is offered at no cost to students and can be taken at any time from any computer that has Internet access.

To access the exam, log on to myWSU, make sure you are on the Home tab, and select the link that says "Spanish Placement Exam" under Student Tools. Questions are adaptive to the level of the student, so the type of questions you get will depend on your answers to previous questions. After completing the exam, you will receive a score and information about which Spanish course(s) your score qualifies you to take.

Students who have never taken a Spanish course can present high school transcripts in the MCLL office (305 Jardine Hall) to obtain a prerequisite override for SPAN 111. The phone number for the MCLL office is 978-3180. Contact Rachel Showstack by email at rachel.showstack@wichita.edu if you have any problems accessing the exam.
