Members of the news media are invited to attend a dedication ceremony and open house for the Westar Energy power systems lab from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 25, in Room 315/316 of Wallace Hall on the Wichita State University campus.

Remarks will begin at 12:05 p.m. Scheduled to speak are Elizabeth King, president and CEO of the WSU Foundation; WSU President John Bardo, Kelly Harrison, vice president of transmission at Westar Energy; Royce Bowden, dean of the WSU College of Engineering; and Ward Jewell, professor of electrical engineering.

A ribbon-cutting will follow remarks. Tours will be offered and students will conduct work demonstrations. The ceremony is hosted by the WSU Foundation, the WSU College of Engineering and Westar Energy.
