Kansas native leads 10 state educational organization serving underrepresented students

A Wichita native, V. Kaye Monk-Morgan, thrives on being a public servant promoting higher education to those who she believes deserves a second chance. Monk-Morgan, director of TRIO Upward Bound Math Science (UBMS) Center based at Wichita State University, is fulfilling one of her life's missions.

On Nov. 11, Monk-Morgan was inducted as the 40th President of the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel, or MAEOPP, which covers 10 states.
