* The Office of Purchasing in 021 Morrison Hall will be closed from noon-3 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12) for a professional development event with the City of Wichita, USD 259 and Sedgwick County.
* The women's basketball team will host Kansas State at 7:05 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12) in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* Join Campus Recreation in a Family Fun Night from 5-8 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12). Play a variety of sports in the gym, go swimming in the pool, work out in the cardio or weight room and take a climb on Mount Wu. Those who attend and sign in will have a chance to win a spring 2015 membership.
* To ensure all financial processing is completed for December by the Friday, Dec. 19, holiday shutdown, ICDs and Purchase Orders must be received and approved by the Purchasing Office by 5 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12). Inter-Organization Transfer Documents (IOTDs) must be received by Financial Operations by 5 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12), and travel reimbursement requests must be entered and approved in TEM (online travel module) by 5 p.m. today (Friday, Dec. 12). In addition, Business Procurement Card logs were available in campus mail Thursday, Dec. 11. Audited logs with attached receipts must be received by the Financial Operations Office by 5 p.m. Monday, Dec. 15.
* Springfest date change: Springfest, an involvement fair for departments and organizations to get their names out, is just around the corner. Springfest will be held from 6-8:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, on the second floor of the Heskett Center. Register your university department at http://www.wichita.edu/springfest for an information table at this fun-filled event where students will get to know more about your department. There are limited tables available. The last day to register is 5 p.m. Friday, Jan. 23, or until all spots are reserved.
* The Unclassified Professional Senate will have their normal senate meeting at 9 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 16, in 200 Lindquist Hall. Anyone is welcome to attend. If you have a concern, feel free to contact your senator.
* The textbook buyback and rental return at the University Bookstore continues through Tuesday, Dec. 16, during normal hours of operation. A $30 late fee will be charged for rentals returned after Dec. 16.
