Blackboard updates for Spring 2015

Courses are available
- Spring courses and enrollments are now available on the Blackboard server, so you should be able to see your courses and begin preparing at your convenience.

Blackboard update
- The Blackboard server will be updated Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 29-30. The process will begin at 10:30 a.m. CST Monday, Dec. 29, and should be completed by 4:30 p.m. CST Tuesday, Dec. 30. It may take an additional 24 hours for building blocks and other processes to complete the update, but the site will be available Tuesday, Dec. 30. During the update, Blackboard will not be available. You should be able to work on preparing courses before and after the update without worrying about losing content because of the update process. There will be more information about new features added in this update soon. Support staff will work through the break to ensure that issues are dealt with in a timely manner.

ProctorU
- WSU's new remote proctoring solution is ProctorU. This replaces Lockdown Browser. Find out more about ProctorU and other exam proctoring options at http://www.proctoru.com/portal/wichita/

Why I cannot see or access my course?
- The most common reason you cannot see or access your course in Blackboard is that you have not been officially assigned to the course by your department. Check with your department to see if they have assigned you to your course. If you are listed as the instructor of record in Banner and your course is not available to you in Blackboard, please submit a support ticket through the Blackboard support area of the OneStop at http://wichita.edu/onestop
