Readers of the Wichita Business Journal selected WSU President John Bardo as their most admired CEO or top executive in the field of education. The Wichita Business Journal article said Bardo's tenure as WSU president is less than three years, but it's been a very active few years for the university. Bardo kicked off his time at WSU by overseeing a comprehensive planning process. Born from that have been several projects, including a new residence hall, Shocker Hall. Bardo's largest initiative so far is still in its early stages. His planned Innovation Campus will start to become visible on campus sometime in the middle of 2015, when construction starts on the project's first building, an experiential engineering building.
