Training available on free productivity software

Kimberly Nix from TextHelp will be on campus Thursday, Jan. 8, to provide training for the new free productivity software, Read Write & Gold, which will be made available to all faculty, staff and students beginning the spring 2015 semester. If you work with students, especially in the areas of tutoring or study skills training, this will be a very useful software program for you to be able to share with students. For faculty it may help in research and the development of online courses.

Log in to your myWSU, go to the Faculty/staff tab and choose myTraining from Quick Links on the left-hand side. There you will find the training listed. If you cannot attend, you are encouraged to send someone from your office who can train others in your office or the students you work with.

The software package is very user-friendly and can benefit many employees and students at WSU. This software is compatible with both Mac and PC. You will notice when you go to sign up that the training in the morning is for those who use PCs, and the afternoon is for Mac users. You can attend both trainings if you work in a cross platform office or with students who use both platforms.

Please forward this to anyone who would be interested in this training. Go to http://www.texthelp.com/North-America/Our-products/Readwrite for more information.
