Reminders

* Kimberly Nix from TextHelp will be on campus Thursday, Jan. 8, to provide training for the new free productivity software, Read Write & Gold, which will be made available to all faculty, staff and students beginning the spring 2015 semester. If you work with students, especially in the areas of tutoring or study skills training, this will be a very useful software program for you to be able to share with students. * Volunteers are needed from Saturday, Jan. 10-Monday, Jan. 19, to make the International Student Union welcome table a success at Wichita Mid-Continent Airport. The welcome table needs to be staffed from 9 a.m.-midnight each day. If you are interested in volunteering for a portion of time, send an email to isuvolunteers@gmail.com with your name and contact information.

* Have recent building renovations and policies left you curious about event planning on campus? Learn the A-to-Z of event planning with presentations from offices such as Event Services, Physical Plant, Media Resource Center, Sodexo, Metropolitan Complex Conference Office, University Police Department and many more. Join us from 2-4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 29, in the Beggs Ballroom as we navigate through the event planning process.

* The state of Kansas offers all employees the opportunity to consent, view and print their W-2 form electronically through State of Kansas Employee Self Service. Employees are encouraged to consent and access electronic W-2 information online through state of Kansas Employee Self Service. Last year almost 20,000 state of Kansas employees received their W-2 information electronically through Employee Self Service -- saving time, money and the environment.
