Retirement reception set for Ulrich Museum's Linda Doll

WSU staff, faculty and community are invited to attend a retirement reception in honor of Linda Doll from 2-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, on the first floor of the Ulrich Museum of Art. Doll, Ulrich Museum office and finance manager, has been employed by the Ulrich since 1994, and has worked for Wichita State for more than 35 years.

Doll began working at WSU in 1979 as a student records clerk for returning adult students in the Division of Continuing Education. In 1983 she graduated from WSU as a returning adult student.

Doll has served on the staff of the Ulrich longer than any previous employee. She joined the
Ulrich in 1994 during a major expansion of the facility, and has held positions in all aspects of the museums financial and daily operations.

"I look forward to exercising regularly, being a community volunteer, making quilts and planting flowers," said Doll, regarding her plans for retirement. She also plans to return to the Ulrich in the spring working part time as a receptionist.

"Linda has been a key force in the tremendous progress of the Ulrich over the past two decades as we have matured to become a major university art museum as well as a vital community asset," said Ulrich Director Bob Workman. "Ulrich staff, volunteers and supporters all wish Linda their best as she starts this next chapter in her life."
