Vis Madhavan, Jeremy Patterson and Kim Cluff recently received John A. See awards for research projects. Madhavan, professor of industrial and manufacturing engineering, will receive $10,000 for his project "Extrusion Machining." Patterson, associate professor and director of the Human Performance Lab, and Cluff, assistant professor of biomedical engineering, will receive $25,000 for their project "Disposable Heart Screening Patch." See donated $1 million in December 2013 to provide prizes to WSU faculty and students who are conducting outstanding research or producing other significant work. See was director of flight test and prototype development at Boeing until his retirement in 1985.
