* Installation of new exterior building wall signs will continue this week near the major entrances of many buildings on the main campus. The installation will generate some noise, but is not expected to be disruptive. This includes Jardine, McKinley, McKnight, Jabara, Lindquist, Heskett, Hubbard, Grace Wilkie, Grace Memorial Chapel, Duerksen, Wiedemann and Morrison halls.

* Don't forget that the Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes in the RSC hosts watch parties for all televised men's and women's basketball games during the semester. Check out tomorrow's men's game against Loyola for free on our 80-inch TVs. Call 316-978-3479 for more information.

* Join faculty and staff to hear about the results of an assessment project involving our student orientation programs implemented last year. Focus groups were conducted by the Research Partnership in fall 2014 among freshmen, transfer, and returning adult students who attended summer and fall orientation programs in 2014. The Assessment Symposium is from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 30, in 264 RSC (Spencer). Lunch will be provided. * The Office of Research and Technology Transfer will hold several workshops this semester, including "Writing Proposals" on Thursday, Feb. 12; "NIH Meet the Experts" on Tuesday, March 3, and Tuesday, March 17; and "Technology Transfer and Intellectual Property" on Thursday, April 9. * The Center for Entrepreneurship is offering the program "Happiness Matters: Creating a Culture for Business to Thrive," from 12:30-3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, in 212 Devlin Hall. * A new gender-neutral shower room has been added at Heskett Center. The space is located next to the weight room across from the door providing hallway access to the Wiedemann Natatorium. It has a full shower and restroom amenities, as well as lockers located next to the steps leading to the racquetball courts and Cycle Fit Studio.
