Student death reported at Wichita State Student death reported at Wichita State

Wichita State University Police reported the death of a student, whose body was found Wednesday night in Fairmount Towers, a university residence hall near 21st and Hillside. No foul play is suspected.

Wichita and University Police were on the scene investigating late Wednesday night into this morning (Thursday, Jan. 29).

University counselors met with Fairmount Towers residents and some residents were relocated to other rooms in the Towers.

The university was attempting to contact next of kin. More details are expected to be released later today (Thursday, Jan. 29) after 8 a.m. as more information becomes available.
