Wichita State releases more information about student death

A 29-year-old male Wichita State University student was found unresponsive in his room by a student assistant at Fairmount Towers South, and emergency personnel were called to WSU after 11 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 28. No other students were in the room.

Information gathered by the Wichita Police Department and WSU Police Department indicated that no foul play was suspected. The investigation is ongoing. The next of kin has been notified.

Counseling staff are available to meet with students on campus throughout the day and evening.
