* The next Biological Sciences spring seminar will feature Andrew Swindle, assistant profesor, Department of Geology at WSU. He will speak from 4-5 p.m. today (Monday, Feb. 9, in 218 Hubbard Hall. Swindle's topic is "Investigating very small particles to better understand contaminant sequestration, transport and remediation in groundwater." * The Office of Online Learning has made an electronic version of the Online Procedure Manual available on its website at http://www.wichita.edu/onlineprocedure. This manual outlines best practices and guidelines that the Higher Learning Commission requires in order for WSU to continue to offer online courses and programs. * The University Police Department will host a van training class at 8 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 26. This four-hour session at the Police Building is a requirement for those who wish to drive a 12-passenger van. Interested persons should contact edwin.catlin@wichita.edu to be placed on the list. Please include your full name, driver's license number and state, along with your myWSU ID number.

* The CHECK (Conference on Higher Education in Kansas) annual conference is scheduled for May 20-21, at Wichita State. The Kansas Information Technology and Services Advisory subcommittee invites you to take an active role and participate in the conference by submitting a proposal for presentation by Saturday, Feb. 28.
