Writing Now, Reading Now Series to feature distinguished poet

Mary Ruefle, WSU's distinguished poet-in-residence, will be featured in the Writing Now, Reading Now Series at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 12, at the Ulrich Museum of Art. A reception will precede the presentation at 5:30 p.m. Ruefle has published 11 collections of poetry, including "The Adamant," which won the 1988 Iowa Poetry Prize. She has also received many honors, including an Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, a Guggenheim fellowship, a National Endowment for the Arts fellowship, and a Whiting Award. Her nonfiction book "Madness, Rack, and Honey: Collected Lectures," was named to the New York Times 100 Notable Books of 2013.
