* With the goal of promoting undergraduate research, scholarship and creative activity in arts and humanities education, the Arts and Humanities Division of the Council on Undergraduate Research will offer financial support for faculty to present on the process and/or results of undergraduate research at regional or national arts and/or humanities conferences. The awards will be from $600 and up, to three will be awarded for presentations that have been accepted by today (Tuesday, Feb. 10) to be presented (or which have been presented) in the fall of 2014 or spring of 2015 (by June 1, 2015). * Take a few minutes to make a Valentine's Day card for the Children's Miracle Network from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Tuesday, Feb. 10) in the the RSC north entrance. SAC will host a Valentine's card-making station so you can spread the love. This is a great opportunity to send another reminder to the children that they are loved this Valentine's Day. The cards will be brought to them for Valentine's Day.
* The Metroplex shuttle route will run an hour later Wednesday night Feb. 11, for the men's Shocker basketball game. Basketball parking information is available at http://bit.ly/1tLQUXN
* Campus Decorations is back with a new twist for Homecoming 2015. This year's theme is Shockerland, and we have some great "game themes" events the week of Feb. 23-28. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3604 for more information.
* The Shocker Sports Grill & Lanes is forming a short-season fun bowling league for faculty and staff at 5:30 p.m. Thursdays from Feb. 26-April 28 skipping spring break. Each team will have three players. The cost is $8 per person, per week. Register by simply stopping in, call 978-3479 or email rich.renollet@wichita.edu. Individual and team registrations are accepted.
