WSU's next accreditation visit by the Higher Learning Commission announced

The Higher Learning Commission is one of six regional accreditation agencies recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Every 10 years regional accreditation agencies validate the quality of an institution as a whole and evaluate multiple aspects of an institution ranging from its academic offerings, governance and administration, mission, finances and resources. The last visit was in 2007 and resulted in full accreditation.

The university has established a planning website to assist faculty, staff and students at http://www.wichita.edu/thisis/home/?u=wsuhlc

For more information, contact Richard Muma, associate vice president for Academic Affairs, who has been tasked to lead the planning efforts for the upcoming site visit.
