* Attention faculty: Please let your students know that the entry deadline to file intent to compete for the 2015 Shocker New Venture Competition is Friday, Feb. 27. The competition, hosted by the WSU Center for Entrepreneurship, inspires Kansas college students to put entrepreneurial principles into practice, spark an idea, develop a plan, pitch to investors and launch a new venture. Teams will be judged based on their ability to succinctly encapsulate their business concept through a market analysis, a clear value proposition and a sustainable competitive advantage. Startup capital will be awarded to the winning teams from a prize pool of more than $30,000, aiding in the launch of their own new venture. * The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will honor outstanding WSU female leaders at the 7th Annual Phenomenal Women Award ceremony, for their timeless service and effort to WSU and the Wichita community. * Join us at Charles Koch Arena for the Engineering & Science Career Fair from 2-6 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 19), and the All-University Career Fair from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20.

* The Office of Financial Aid will host an evening workshop from 5-7 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 19) in 124 Jabara Hall. Students and parents are encouraged to attend. No RSVP is necessary. WSU's priority date for the 2015-16 FAFSA is March 1. Early FAFSA applicants are given priority consideration for additional financial resources.
