* A town hall meeting to answer your questions about the market study being conducted by CBIZ Compensation Consulting will be held from 3:30-4:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 26) in 261 RSC.

* "African American Entrepreneurship in Wichita: Past and Present," will be presented by Professor Robert E. Weems Jr. at 6:30 p.m. today (Thursday, Feb. 26) in 208 Hubbard Hall.
Weems will discuss the findings of his "Wichita Black Business History Project."

* Do you know an exemplary University Support Staff (USS) employee? Nominations will be accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for University Support Staff until noon Wednesday, March 4. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3640 to nominate an outstanding USS employee.

* WSU is partnering with Wichita Transit and vRide to offer a new benefit to interested university employees: vanpooling. Vanpooling is a service that replaces personal vehicles with a van that the riders pitch in to operate, thus driving down the cost for everyone. Wichita Transit and vRide will be on-site 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday, Feb. 27, in 256 RSC to provide more details and assistance.

* Employees 55 years and older are invited to attend the annual WSU Pre-Retirement Planning Seminar from 8:30 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Space is limited. * The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will honor outstanding WSU female leaders at the 7th Annual Phenomenal Women Award ceremony for their timeless service and effort to WSU and the Wichita community. * The WSU community will participate in the statewide tornado safety drill at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3. This will be a mandatory university-wide drill for faculty, staff, students and guests. Everyone will be expected to go to a designated shelter until the all-clear. The ShockerAlert system will be activated and provide information about when you may resume normal activities.
