Reminders

* Every year, the KU School of Medicine-Wichita holds a Research Forum for students, residents and faculty, as well as anyone interested in community health and medical research, to present and discuss research projects and facilitate research collaboration. This year's conference is Wednesday, April 29. WSU faculty are welcome to submit research for consideration. The deadline for abstract submission is Tuesday, April 7. * Sigma Delta Pi (Hispanic Honor Society) and the Spanish Club present "Instructions Not Included" ("No se aceptan devoluciones") in Spanish with English subtitles at 6:30 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 27) in 310 Jardine Hall. Admission is free.

* The women's basketball game will host Drake University at 7:07 p.m. today (Friday, Feb. 27) and Northern Iowa at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, in Charles Koch Arena. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).

* The Office of Diversity and Inclusion will honor outstanding WSU female leaders at the 7th Annual Phenomenal Women Award ceremony for their timeless service and effort to WSU and the Wichita community. * The Office of Research and Technology Transfer will hold a webinar for WSU faculty and staff for "NIH Meet the Experts: Webinar on SBIR/STTR," from 2-4 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, in 142 RSC. The webinar will include information on National Institutes of Health funding mechanisms, specifically Small Business Technology Transfer and Small Business Innovation Research, and how to apply. * Do you know an exemplary University Support Staff (USS) employee? Nominations will be accepted for the President's Award for Distinguished Service for University Support Staff until noon Wednesday, March 4. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3640 to nominate an outstanding USS employee.

* Nominations are being received through Wednesday, April 1, for the 2015 Higuchi-KU Endowment Research Achievement Awards. The awards are the highest honor given for Kansas Board of Regents university faculty accomplishments in research, scholarship and creative activity.
