* Globally influential speaker and longtime civil rights leader Gerald Durley of Atlanta will be at Wichita State for three events today (Thursday, March 5). Durley's message will be "Climate Change is a Civil Rights Issue." Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3661 for more information.
* The WSU Department of History Robert Spoo, Chapman Distinguished Professor of Law at
the University of Tulsa College of Law, at 7 p.m. today (Thursday, March 5) in 208 Hubbard Hall. Spoo will present "In the Copyright Vacuum: Piracy and Courtesy in American Publishing."
* The Philosophy Colloquium featuring Sarah H. Woolwine and Eva M. Dadlez from the University of Central Oklahoma scheduled for Monday, March 2, has been postponed until 3:30 p.m. Monday, April 20, in 227 McKinley Hall.
* The Office of the Provost is asking faculty to encourage undergraduate students enrolled in their classes to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). NSSE helps WSU understand how students are spending time in and out of the classroom, which guides decisions that will benefit them. A final reminder will go out on March 17. In appreciation for participating, WSU will enter participating students into a drawing for a chance to receive a QuikTrip card. If you have questions, contact Rick Muma at 978-5761.
* World famous jazz bass guitar player Victor Lemonte Wooten will perform as part of the Connoisseur Series at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 6, in Miller Concert Hall. For tickets, call 978-3233. There are also free master classes the same day from noon-1:30 p.m. and 2:30-4 p.m. in Miller Concert Hall.
* Vote daily for Coach Gregg Marshall in the ESPN.com/infiniti Coaches' Charity Challenge. Every vote helps him raise money for the Wichita Children's Home.
