* The University Bookstore is taking orders for faculty and staff who need regalia for Spring 2015 Commencement. If you plan to purchase regalia, CB Grad will be in the bookstore from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Thursday, March 12, to measure and take orders. The deadline to purchase custom regalia is 4 p.m. Friday, March 13. The deadline to rent regalia is 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Call Julie at 978-7021 or email her at bookstore@wichita.edu to place your order. If you have any questions, come by the bookstore between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Payment is due at the time you place an order.
* The Shocker baseball team will host Arkansas-Little Rock at 3 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 11) at Eck Stadium. For tickets, call 978-FANS (3267).
* The WSU Department of Philosophy Colloquium will feature WSU philosophy instructor James Schwartz, from 3:30-5 p.m. today (Wednesday, March 11) in 107 McKinley Hall. His presentation is titled, "Why should philosophers care about space exploration?"
* The Office of Research and Technology Transfer will hold a webinar "NIH Meet the Experts Webinar on R01, R15," from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in 142 RSC. The webinar will include information on NIH funding mechanisms, specifically R01 and R15, and how to apply. Register now at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3662. * The Office of the Provost asks faculty to encourage undergraduate students enrolled in their classes to participate in the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE). NSSE helps WSU understand how students are spending time in and out of the classroom, which guides decisions that will benefit them. A final reminder will go out on March 17. In appreciation for participating, WSU will enter participating students into a drawing for a chance to receive a QuikTrip card. If you have questions, contact Rick Muma at 978-5761.
