* Student Health will be closed noon-5 p.m. Friday March 13, for a CPR update.
* The University Bookstore is taking orders for faculty and staff who need regalia for Spring 2015 Commencement. If you plan to purchase regalia, CB Grad will be in the bookstore from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. today (Thursday, March 12) to measure and take orders. The deadline to purchase custom regalia is 4 p.m. Friday, March 13. The deadline to rent regalia is 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 25. Call Julie at 978-7021 or email her at bookstore@wichita.edu to place your order. If you have any questions, come by the bookstore between 8 a.m.-4 p.m. weekdays. Payment is due at the time you place an order.
* The Office of Research and Technology Transfer will hold a webinar "NIH Meet the Experts Webinar on R01, R15," from 1:30-3:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in 142 RSC. The webinar will include information on NIH funding mechanisms, specifically R01 and R15, and how to apply. Register now at http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3662. * The Tilford Commission on Diversity welcomes proposals from instructors interested in developing a new diversity-related course or in modifying an existing course to enhance its diversity content. Award recipients will receive a stipend of up to $4,000, and serve as Fellows of the Tilford Commission on Diversity for the 2015-16 academic year. Go to http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3582 for details.
* Wichita State, in partnership with Wichita Parks and Recreation, will present a Community Self-Defense Workshop from 1-4 p.m. Saturday, March 28, at the Lynette Woodard Recreation Center. Learn how to protect yourself in a dangerous situation. Registration is free, but participants must reserve their place by calling 688-9392 or sending an email to ataber@wichita.gov.
* Grading for spring 2015 first eight-week courses opened Wednesday, March 11. Faculty can access the Banner grading form via the Teach/Advise tab in the myWSU portal. Grades for any spring class officially ending by Saturday, March 14, can be entered during this grading period. Grades are due by 10 p.m. Thursday, March 19. A grading email with further details was sent to faculty and staff who are flagged as eligible instructors in Banner. Questions about grading can be directed to the Office of the Registrar at 978-3090.
