* Andy Schlapp, executive director of governmental relations, and Kelly Reynolds, assistant director of governmental relations, will have a Legislative update meeting for interested faculty and staff from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, March 13) and Friday, March 20, in the Morrison Hall boardroom. Come and hear about legislation that affects WSU.

* "Positive Curvature and Topology" is the title of the next talk in the Lecture Series in the Mathematical Sciences at 3 p.m. today (Friday, March 13) in 372 Jabara Hall. The guest speaker is professor Manuel Amann of the Karlsruher Institute of Technology. Come for refreshments prior to the lecture at 2:30 p.m. in 353 Jabara Hall.

* Throughout the spring, WSU President John Bardo with Provost and Senior Vice President Tony Vizzini will host a series of informal, one-hour discussions about the role of innovation in a variety of subject areas and disciplines. * The Office of Transitions and Orientation is currently seeking Faculty Fellows to be part of the orientation process for new students at WSU. Faculty Fellows will work closely with the undergraduate Transition Mentors and the transitions and orientation staff to provide a welcoming atmosphere during orientation, while communicating college classroom expectations. * WSU is hosting the American Heart Association Heart Walk on Saturday, June 13. We are looking for team captains to gather friends and families to walk with us.
