AEGD hosting Dental Day camp

The Advanced Education in General Dentistry program is hosting its annual Dental Day for high school students interested in a career in dentistry. The one-day event -- Friday, June 26 -- allows students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in dentistry and dental hygiene by learning to take impressions, X-rays, and actually drilling on teeth.

Last year, 25 students from across the state of Kansas were hosted by faculty from AEGD and the Dental Hygiene program. This year, registration is limited to 30 students. Parents are invited to attend a Q&A the last hour of the day regarding pre-dental studies, how to apply to dental school, and how to apply to the dental hygiene program at Wichita State.

Registration is open and online at www.wichita.edu/dentalday. The cost is $15 per student and the deadline is June 1, 2015.
