* Andy Schlapp, executive director of governmental relations, and Kelly Reynolds, assistant director of governmental relations, will have a Legislative update meeting for interested faculty and staff from 11 a.m.-noon today (Friday, March 20) in the Morrison Hall boardroom. Come and hear about legislation that affects WSU.

* If you are on annualized salary spread, it remains in force from year to year unless you elect to discontinue it. For academic year 2015-16, salary spread payments begin with the pay period that starts Aug. 2 (pay date of Aug. 28). To discontinue it, you must notify the Office of Human Resources in writing prior to the next fiscal year, which is July 1. Complete the cancellation form at http://bit.ly/18XxRSn

* The Office of Transitions and Orientation is currently seeking Faculty Fellows to be part of the orientation process for new students at WSU. Faculty Fellows will work closely with the undergraduate Transition Mentors and the transitions and orientation staff to provide a welcoming atmosphere during orientation, while communicating college classroom expectations. * Mark your calendars for Wednesday, March 25. The University Bookstore and other campus departments will host a Grad Fair with all the information and products you will need as graduation day approaches. The Grad Fair will run from 8 a.m.-7 p.m. on the first floor of the RSC, near the east entrance.

* The holiday closedown period has been approved this year to commence at the end of the day on Friday, Dec. 18, and reopen on Monday morning, Jan. 4, 2016.
