* Linda Black, assistant dean, is retiring from the College of Health Professions on June 6. Please join us as we celebrate her years of service to the college and university from 3-5 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 14) in 302 Ahlberg Hall, with comments at 3:30 p.m.

* Interfest, the international food festival organized by WSU's International Student Union each semeseter, has online tickets available. This spring's event is from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. today (Tuesday, April 14) in the Neff Hall courtyard. In case of rain, the event will be held at the Geology Building patio.

* 2015 Spring Commencement will be held Friday, May 15, and Saturday, May 16. The Commencement Office is looking for individuals who are available to help either day. * The Tilford Commission invites faculty and staff to its annual Fellowship Colloquium from noon-2 p.m. Friday, April 24, in 110 Ahlberg Hall. Tilford Fellowships are awarded each year by the Office of Academic Affairs to faculty and instructors in support of work to develop a new course or modify an existing one to enhance its diversity content. Fellows for the current year will give presentations on a range of new and revised courses in math education, literature, history, social work and nursing, and facilitate a discussion of successful strategies for addressing diversity-related issues in the classroom. * The Fall Institute for Student Learning Assessment at Kansas State University will be held Nov. 12-13. A Call-For-Proposal for those interested in presenting is due Sept. 8, and can be found at http://www.k-state.edu/assessment/institute/cfp/

* Cody Charvat, training and exercise officer for Sedgwick County Emergency Management, will facilitate two general sessions on Thursday, April 30, in 265 RSC for Emergency Building Coordinators (EBCs). These sessions will be for new EBCs or current EBCs who want to take a refresher. Log in to myWSU and go to the Faculty/Staff tab, EmpHelp, myTraining to register.
