* The Spring Physics Seminar Series will continue at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 8) in 128 Jabara Hall. Vadim Zotev, Laureate Institute for Brain Research in Tulsa, Okla., will present "Perspectives in multimodal neuroimaging: from MEG-MRI to EEG-fMRI."

* The Spring Chemistry Colloquium will feature a talk by Bruce Goode-Brandeis called "Deconstruction of actin network turnover dynamics: from living cells to single molecules" at 3:30 p.m. today (Wednesday, April 8) in 224 McKinley Hall.

* "Whatever happened to Anthony Overton? The final years and legacy of a noteworthy African American entrepreneur" will be presented at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 9, in 218 Hubbard Hall. The speaker will be Robert E. Weems Jr., Willard W. Garvey Distinguished Professor of Business History.

* Volunteer for a day of service with faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends at Wichita State's Wu's Big Event II. This free, biannual event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2, with a light breakfast. Then volunteers will be bused to five different service sites to participate in volunteer work. Buses will return to the university at 1 p.m. for pizza and reflection. Join the Community Service Board in a fun day of volunteerism as we live out our values of passionate service together. * The deadline for abstract submissions to the KU Research Forum is approaching fast. Registration for the forum is open and the deadline is 5 p.m. Wednesday, April 15. Those who submit a poster are not automatically registered. Registration is not required to attend the forum, but is strongly advised to get an appropriate count for space, materials and lunch.
