* The deadline to register for the "War of Thrones" is today (Monday, April 20). The event will be held at 11:45 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Build your equipment with the help of Nerd Union advisors, then prepare to take to the field with friends, rivals and strangers alike. * The Center for Entrepreneurship invites WSU students of all majors to judge in this year's Trade Show round of the Shocker New Venture Competition from 2-3 p.m. Friday, April 24, at Charles Koch Arena. * Get ready for a morning of mini golf, fun, food and saving children's lives. Putt for a Cure 2015 will be hosted at All-Star Adventures from 9 a.m.-noon Saturday, April 25. * The WSU Multicultural Greek Council invites you to the 6th annual Midwest Step Show: Shock the Yard at 7 p.m. Saturday, April 25, at the Orpheum Theatre downtown. Tickets can be purchased in the University Bookstore, the Orpheum box office, or online through Select-a-Seat for $10 (http://www.wichita.edu/j/?3737), or they can be purchased at the door the night of the show for $15. * Campus Recreation is seeking contestants for the WSU Amazing Race, Sunday, April 26. Based on the popular TV show "Amazing Race," teams of two will race around the WSU campus, working their way through unique challenges, physical and mental activities and a variety of interactive tasks before racing to the finish line. Free food and awesome prizes await the finishers. The cost is $5 per person with teams of two. Sign up at the Heskett Center. * The Black Student Union has planned a "Black Student Challenges you to a Dodge Ball Tournament" at 6 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, in the Heskett Center. All are welcome. There is a registration fee of $16 per group ($2 per person). Pick up a registration form at the Office of Diversity and Inclusion front desk, located in 208 RSC. * Volunteers are needed for WSU's second biannual event, Wu's Big Event II. This free event will kick off at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, May 2. Volunteers will receive a light breakfast and be bused to five service sites to participate in volunteer work. Buses will return to the university at 1 p.m. for pizza and reflection.
