Fraternity and sorority life impacts Wichita community

WSU Greeks have a long-standing history of impacting the greater Wichita community by giving back to a variety of causes.

Through their service and philanthropic efforts, organizations support voter registration, various mentoring programs, Make-A-Wish Foundation, Alzheimer's Research, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Feeding America, ALS Association, Children's Miracle Network, St. Jude's, American Heart Association and American Diabetes Association, just to name a few.

These opportunities create great values development for members, but more importantly, lasting memories and a strong connection to community and WSU. We would like to recognize the students for their work in 2014 with more than 16,000 hours of community service completed and $130,000-plus raised for many causes.

From April 20-25, we will host "Greek Week" to highlight the impact of these student to our campus and the Wichita community. If you have questions, contact Lyston Skerritt, assistant director of Fraternity and Sorority Life at lyston.skerritt@wichita.edu.
