* "Using space science and technology to help solve energy and environmental problems on Earth" is the title of a public lecture at 4 p.m. Thursday, April 23, in 100 Lindquist Hall. The guest Watkins Visiting professor is Les Johnson, technical adviser for NASA's Advanced Concepts Office at the Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville, Ala. He will also give a scientific lecture "Propellantless propulsion: Propelling spacecraft using the natural environments of space," at 2 p.m. Wednesday, April 22, in 128 Jabara Hall.
* The Fiscal Year 2016 budget process begins at the departmental level with the entering of budget information into WSU's new budget system (TM1) software. Because the new budget system will be used for the FY 16 budget process, it is important that Budget Officers and Budget Review Officers for state orgs (non-research orgs) attend one of the FY 16 Training Sessions or the Open Lab session for individual help. * The Office of Diversity and Inclusion and Spectrum LGBTQ & Allies present the first Lavender Graduation at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 30, in the Beggs Ballroom, RSC. Lavender Graduation is a special graduation ceremony honoring the achievements of graduating lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students on campus.
